From Cow Shed to Chiropractic Clinic: A Transformation
January 2024

The Royal College of Chiropractors Annual Conference featured the launch of a new chiropractic quality standard for assessing and managing low back pain and sciatica. Stuart was the lead author of this publication which sets a benchmark for high-quality chiropractic care, benefiting patients, healthcare professionals, and the wider public.

Stuart was also elected as the next President of the Royal College. He will serve as President-Elect in 2025 before taking over the presidency in January 2026. This marks the end of 15 years as the RCC Director of Academic Affairs, for which he was very surprised to receive a special President’s Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the profession from 2010 to 2025.
In his role as Director of Academic Affairs of the Royal College of Chiropractors, Stuart has just returned from attending the World Chiropractic Education Conference in Kuala Lumpur. The conference included the inaugural meeting of the International Chiropractic Education Alliance (ICEA), a new global initiative dedicated to sharing best practices in chiropractic education. The RCC has long collaborated with UK educational institutions, but will now play a role in fostering international cooperation to enhance high-quality learning worldwide.
What was once an old cow shed has been transformed into a contemporary chiropractic clinic, blending rustic charm with modern healthcare. After months of hard work, the doors opened for patients on 2nd January. This fully equipped space offers the latest chiropractic treatments in a warm, welcoming environment. The building’s history remains in its character, but inside, it’s all about patient care and comfort. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new clinic - where past meets present for a healthier future.
